Lily Allen Quits Music for Fashion

“I want to be rich and I want lots of money
I don't care about clever I don't care about funny
I want loads of clothes and fuckloads of diamonds
I heard people die while they are trying to find them

And I'll take my clothes off and it will be shameless
Cause everyone knows that's how you get famous
I'll look at The Sun and I'll look in The Mirror
I'm on the right track yeah I'm onto a winner”

Do the lyrics to Allen’s song, “The Fear” from her latest album foreshadow her need for earnings and the triumphant curse of the industry? After her very vocal fight about music piracy, Lily has blogged and tweeted her concerns and complaints about the turn of the music industry as a whole. This may have been a result why her latest album had disappointing record sales. Allen quotes, “The days of me making money from recording music has been and gone as far as I’m concerned.” There have been rumors Allen is quitting the music business all together to pursue a fashion line. Maybe her line will consist of fuzzy animal costumes like the ones she has worn on stage or a T-shirt line that would have cigarette burns and signs of whiskey sipping. Her battle is ongoing with the British Government. If you haven’t been exposed to this spitfire Brit star who sings lyrics like a teen truck driver but has a voice that fits her barely 23 body make sure you buy her album not download it from a free site!
